Sunday Snackbox 26 – 16/1/17

It’s Sunday again. If you’re still in bed, good job. I’m a huge advocate of rolling over and sleeping the pain away. In case that’s not an option for you, read on.

Hello.

This is Sunday Snackbox 26, which means that there are now half a year’s worth of Sundays and Snackboxes out there. This also might be your first time out of 26 opportunities to click through – Sunday Snackbox is a slow, passing wave to those of you in bits at the end of the week. Read, listen, and cook for yourself.

Y’know, if you can.

I think I’m going to read one of those books every Sunday for the next 24 weeks. I’ll let you know how that goes.

If you need something else to do today, RTE’s new drama, “Striking Out” is on. My bud Emmet Byrne is in it. He’s gud. You can catch up on the first two episodes on the excellently-designed, well-implemented RTE player.

(If you know me, you know I’m bad at sarcasm. The RTE Player could be a lot better.)

See you in a week.

Sunday Snackbox 14 – (Berlin Edition) 7/8/16

I need a new header image. If you read this and want to help me out, do.

Hallo from Berlin, the city of insecurity. That moniker was overheard coming from a German, so it must be on the money.

The real charm of this city is that is so damn big you can wear your starwars pajama pants with green yoda faces on them out for lunch. Not only do you not look mental, you actually look pretty fly. Probably.

This is Sunday Snackbox and you might be hungover.

Good Afternoon, It’s that time – Yet another Sunday.

No headcold today and no bodysads. Mostly.

Sunday Snackbox has been running for ten weeks now. It’s a little digital gift for the hungover and horrified. There’s a recipe, a playlist and something to read. Sometimes there’s something to watch. Here’s to another ten, I suppose.

Sunday Snackbox 5 – 5/6/16

sunday snack box

I’m writing this on THURSDAY. Being a grown-up means proper time management, being productive (?) and having a hangover. I don’t know if I’ll have done any of these things by Sunday, or how hung over I’ll be, but I’m leaving a little space for my time-travelling self to insert my condition – [Couple of cans last night, but no pain.]

Lovely. If you clicked through, this is Sunday Snackbox. It’s a little thing I started doing to make myself feel better when I’m hung over. Maybe you’ll feel better, too. There’s a simple recipe designed to be easy to cook and easy on the stomach. There’s also some reading material which you can ignore if you so choose (but this week it’s a Neil Gaiman story so the joke’s on you). (Thanks Abel). There’s also a playlist designed to shock you out of existential depression. Y’know yerself, like.

This week , I’m trying to cram a little something extra into the corners. If you like it, It may become a fixture.

Sunday Snackbox 4 – 29/5/16

Good afternoon, All. I’m hungover now so this is on time and has some effort put into it.

Honestly, it’s as much for me as it is for you. I replaced the short story with a relatively long joke, because someone told me they didn’t read the short story. Let me know.

For those who don’t know – this is Sunday Snackbox, a thing I send out to alleviate the existentially negative effects of a hangover – in Dublin they call it “The Fear,”right?

The box has a recipe, a joke (now), and a playlist.

The whole thing is a soft hug for last night and a gentle push into the day.

Hello, All.

It’s a fine Sunny Tuesday here and this is late because I wasn’t hungover last Sunday.

I was busy and happy. Sorry.

Sunday Snack Box, for those not in the know, is a little digital gift for remedying the negative existential effects of whopping hangovers. (This edition is late, but whatever.)

Do you know what gravitas sounds like?

GREETINGS ALL.

(Brooklyn Nine Nine. Go forth and binge, trust me.)

It’s that time of the week again. I’m  a tad fragile and existential and you might be too. It’s a lovely day where I am, but that don’t mean nothing if you’re feeling cloudy on the inside. Distractions. We both need distractions. Mine is making this for you. Yours is consuming it. This is the second week of Sunday Snack Box. It’s going to be a thing whether a ton of people love it or I just keep doing it out of sheer stubbornness. The format (contents?) are a recipe, a spotify playlist I made just for you, and a short story to keep you occupied for a little while.

If you like it, tell your friends.

Tell your fukkin’ friends.

They might like it too.
